Carden of Eden, a card shop. I work here part time.

::There's a lot toys for children (such as Plunder Patrolls, Melffy, Madolche and the like), the playing area seems to be mostly dominated by children and women in their 20s. Pre-Constructed Decks and official product are on display on shelves and on hooks from the walls, while there's a lot of flowers in the center of the building. With a collection of children and women friendly popular manga anthologies in one corner for purchase.

It's not a very macho or even standard store.::

It is.

The owners are a pair of nice people, and it's a calm non-hostile mostly low stress environment. There's also free juice for me.

Do you usually end up working with kids who come here?

Uh, yeah. I do. I tend to help sort out cards and try to keep everyone calm, and make sure there's snacks available, even if it's just keeping the vending machines stocked.

Which is kinda why I applied here...

It's what I wondered... since you want to work with kids in the longterm, right?

Yeah, and I figured while I let things settle out while I try to apply to do some work at Duel Academia's Domino branch, uh, like, I figured this might be a good way to get a foot in the door with experience and stuff, I 'unno.

In fact, a lot of people would probably envy you.

There's... a lot of people who tend to graduate and not know what they really want to do, or even how to get around to doing it.

So having even an idea in mind is enviable.

I just have a vague goal of being like Captain Kangaroo, or Mr. Rogers. Someone kids can trust and make them smile and feel happy and want to grow up and be fond of and stuff?

I have no idea how to get there...

Yeah, but at least you have a goal. And at least you already have a grasp on "do things even tenuously connected to that."

So you're way ahead of most people your age.
